Fundraising
Perhaps you’d like to fundraise for SmellTaste? Whether you want to run a marathon, or hold a cake sale or coffee morning, there’s no challenge too big, or too small! Not only will you raise vital funds for the charity, you will also help raise awareness of an unrecognised and marginalised issue.
Sarah, who has congenital anosmia, and so has been unable to smell from birth, held a cake sale at work on Anosmia Awareness Day to raise money for SmellTaste.
Adam has Samter’s Triad, also called Aspirin-Exacerbated Respiratory Disease (AERD). This is a chronic medical condition consisting of a combination of asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with recurring nasal polyps, and aspirin sensitivity. Loss of the sense of smell is common. Adam has undertaken a range of challenges to raise funds for SmellTaste, including marathons, a triathlon and his first ever 100km run! Adam has raised over £3,000 for SmellTaste.
If you would like to fundraise for us and you are not sure where to start, then we can help. Simply drop us an email at info@smelltaste.org.uk
All money raised will go into the SmellTaste Development Fund to:
• Provide support and information to those living with impaired smell and taste and their families
• Educate more professional and public audiences on the impact of these sensory impairments
• Campaign for better services, support and greater recognition
• Support much-needed research to improve understanding and accelerate the steps to treatments and potential cures
